Pixel Party Proof Eyeliner is the best EVER!

Ok glammies, I have been searching for the ultimate eyeliner....one that will give me a fine defined line, one that will not smear and wear off and one that is not that expensive.  Well, after trying a ton of eyeliners and getting lackluster results, the most consistent eyeliner is PIXEL PARTY PROOF EYELINER.  First off, look at the name.  Its called Party Proof so that says a lot.  I picked this up at Ulta on a random shopping trip there thinking that this $5.99 investment would be just that....a $5.99 result.  Little did I know that this would be my new go to eyeliner.

This liner is a liquid liner which many of you shy away from, but this is by far the easiest liquid liner to manager.  It literally glides on the lid with a consistent spread of color where some liners lack and seem to skip color.  The best part is that it lasts all day and wont come off until you remove it with eye make up remover.

I am literally headed to Ulta this week to pick up another and I suggest you do the same.  Also, let me know some of your favorite liners.

Thanks for reading!!

A Brilliant Review for a Brilliant Product - Fekkai's Brilliant Glossing Cream

Ladies, don't you hate frizz and hair that doesn't have that healthy shine?  I do too.  I recently tried Fekkai's Brilliant Glossing Cream that contains encapsulated olive oil spheres that renew shine and fight frizz all day long!  So, I received a very nice size from Glamour to do my Glambassador Challenge.  Living in Atlanta, it is so hard to keep hair straight.  So, after I did my normal routine of washing and straightening my hair, I applied a pea size of this product, rubbed it through my hands and rubbed through my hair.  It have me an immediate shine and my hair did not feel weighed down.  The trick is not to use alot because a little goes a long way.  This is one more great item in my hair maintenance tool box.  Bye, bye frizzies!!!

Let me know what you think about the product!!

ATHENOS Feta Cheese MASTERPIECE

Okay, so I LOVE being a Glambassador!   Glamour sent me ATHENOS Feta Cheese and I totally rocked it out and created a super yummy Greek salad.  I did the basic ingredients of a Greek salad, but then added additional ingredients to give it a little zing.  I am also going to try some additional recipes when I have some time.  It was not only healthy but very tasty.

Glam Night Out with Glamour Magazine and Redken

I was so excited to be selected to host Glam Night Out, Friday May 17th at the Bob Steele Salon in Atlanta.  My challenge was to get the word out about Redken's #DiamondOil products.  I was able to invite 5 of my good friends who would receive a FREE blow-out and gift bags from Glamour Magazine and the Bob Steele Salon.  So let me share with you my experience.

These are my girls I selected to share this wonderful experience with.

We arrived and were greeted by the salon Manager, stylists and a rep from Redken.  They ordered some yummy food from Figs and Honey Catering and wine.  Ahhh, what a way to start off the evening.  The food not only looked amazing but it was so good.

My guests also enjoyed the food.

I was first up, so my stylist, Amanda, came to get me and took me to the shampoo bowl.  I exeperienced an awesome shampoo and conditioner treatment with the Diamond Oil products.  These products smell so good and make the hair so silky and managable.

When my shampoo was done, to the chair we went to begin the blowout.  Amanda explained the difference between the Diamond Oil Regular and the Intense.  The "regular" is for thin to normal hair and the intense is for more of a thicker grade of hair.  She used intense on me.  The product has a dropper where you only need to do a few drops in your hand and smooth through wet hair.  I was thinking we needed to do more, but she assured me that a few drops was enough.

The overall blow-out experience was great.  Amanda and her assistant both worked on getting my hair blown out straight.  As my hair started to dry, I began to see the shine from the Diamond Oil come through.  My hair was very soft and light.  I do not like products that leave a heavy film and sometimes serums will do that, but this product worked well with my hair.
So, my hair was finally complete and I loved the way it felt.
When they were finished with my hair, I was able to check in with my friends to see how their experience was going.
Kelli loved her blowout.  She and her stylist really bonded and she said that she would be back AND wanted the Diamond Oil treatment.

Cannon raved about how the Diamond Oil products made her hair feel so smooth.
Coriya was amazed that the product really helped in getting her hair so straight.

Unfortuately because I was getting my services, I missed out on getting close ups of all of my girls, but finally all of us were able to take a group shot.
The night ended with a presentation of gift bags to me and my girls!!    There were lots of cool stuff in these bags.  We were like kids in a candy store going through them.
Great night and a wonderful experience.  Bottom line, you must try the Redken Diamond Oil product line.  You will be shinning bright like a diamond.  I gurantee it!

L'Oreal Revitalift Miracle Blur Instant Skin Smoother

I have found a face miracle in a tube!!!

I hosted a Blur party with some of my closest friends and we had a blast trying out this product.   So, we started our Blur Party out with snacks and convo.  Then I went into describing the product.  Here is a little info:

What Is Miracle Blur? It’s NOT a moisturizer, NOT a foundation, MORE than a primer; it’s the first of-its-kind Instant Skin Smoother.

What Does It Do?
Miracle Blur instantly erases the look of lines, wrinkles, and pores. Skin instantly looks and feels smooth, leaving a velvet soft matte finish that lasts all day.

When Should I Use It?
Miracle Blur should be applied daily after moisturizing as the final step in every woman’s skincare routine. Wear alone for a matte finish, or wear under makeup for smoother application and wear.

So, finally it was time to try it out.   I have sensitive and oily skin so I was not sure how it would do for me. First off, the consistency of the product is amazing.  It gives the skin the perfect pallet to either go natural or to apply your make up because it literally BLURSs out any inconsistencies in your skin.  After I applied it to my face, I waited a min or so and then applied my foundation. I noticed a huge difference.  The makeup smoothed out evenly on my skin and gave me a flawless complexion.

For your natural girls who prefer not wearing make up, this product will give your skin a nice finish.  This product is definitely a fav of mine and I encourage you to try it.  Follow @LOrealParis and @Glamourmag for more info!!

My review on Crystal Light Liquid

Well Glammies, I have another review to share with you all.  This time, Glamour Magazine sent me a sample of the new zero-calorie Crystal Light Liquid!
Now this is perfect for those of you who are not too fond of water by itself (like me).  And I love how easy it is to add flavor to a refreshing glass of water.  So, while sitting on my balcony enjoying the evening weather, I tried it out.  Get yourself a glass of cold water.  I used cold bottled water.  Pour into a "cute" glass.  I mean, hey, a cute glass will always make water more of a treat, right?!?  Then grab your Crystal Light Liquid and squirt 1-2 drops directly in the water.   What I love about this method is that you easily control the amount of squirts you want in your water, so flavor it up your way.  And the taste???  Its very good.  I tried the Strawberry Lemonade and found it to be uber tasty and refreshing.

Oh and to make it even more special, kick your feet up outside grab a copy of the latest Glamour Magazine and just enjoy the refreshing taste.  I will be adding this to my shopping list.  Bottoms Up!!  Thanks Glamour Magazine and Crystal Light Liquid.

Living proof - prime style extender

Glamour Magazine recently sent me a sample of Living proof style extender and it is GREAT!  I admit I was a little skeptical about trying it because when I style my hair, I dont like to use alot of extra products for fear it will weigh my hair down.  Well, this product changed all that.  Here's what you do:
*  Wash hair
*  condition hair
My favorites right now are Clear Scalp and Hair Therapy (LOVE!)
*  Rinse conditioner out real well!!
*  Then while hair is damp, apply Living proof and comb thru.  I love the smell of this product.  Once its combed through, style your hair as you normally would.

Once I dryed and styled my hair, there was no heavy build-up and it felt amazing.  A few days later, it still looked great!

So, if you're looking to extend your style, you gotta try Living proof!!!  And that is my #GlambassadorChallenge!

Clear Scalp and Hair Therapy Review

Greetings Glammy Gals!  Okay, I am really excited about this one.  I had another Glambasador Challenge from Glamour Magazine!  They sent me CLEAR Scalp and Hair Therapy shampoo and conditioner to try out.  I happen to be very into finding good shampoos and conditioners as I do my own hair.  I only go to the salon when I need a trim or want to try something I am not able to do.  Soooo, I invest in finding the right at home products.  Since receiving this product, I have used it 3 times so I feel that I have a good idea of how it works.

Let me tell you a little about my hair.  My hair is already pretty healthy, but needs good maintenance to stay that way.  I do not get regular relaxers, but admit that at least twice a year, I get a relaxer treatment.  The natural state of my hair is wavy and slight curly, so I do go natural at times.  Most recently, I had my girlfriend Tricia Lee to add some highlights to my hair, so my natural hair color was lightened a few shades.  You know that can wear and tear on your hair.
My hair was much lighter here.  This was taken a few months ago.

So, when this shampoo and conditioner came in the mail, I was excited to see that it was for "Damage and Color Repair."

Lets start with the Shampoo.  This shampoo smells absolutely amazing!!!  So fresh and clean.  It lathers really well too.  I lathered up twice and rinsed really well.  Next up was the Conditioner.  After my hair was rinsed well, I always need a good conditioner to comb thru.  I have been faithful to Pantene for years, so I didn't know how this would do.  As soon as I applied it to my hair, my hair felt immediately soft and ready to comb thru.  The conditioner also smells super good!  I combed thru the conditioner really well and let it sit for 15 minutes.  The instructions do not tell you how long, but 15 min was good.  I rinsed it out really well and my hair already felt great.

Now the true test for me is how does the hair feel after it is dry.   My ritual is to wrap my wet hair around my hair (I do not put any setting lotions or product on at this time).  I sit under a hooded hair dryer for at least an hour.  When I come out, I can tell by touching my hair if the shampoo / conditioner combo worked or not.  If it didn't work, there is a heavy film and the hair is not flowing.  If it did work, the hair is very light and flowing.  Well ladies it worked!  My hair felt wonderful.  I proceeded to style it and it came out great.  On top of everything, my hair smelled so good.

I received so many compliments from people at work asking if I had just got my hair done.  I told them, nope, its my NEW FAVORITE Shampoo and Conditioner, CLEAR Scalp and Hair Therapy.  I suggest that you try it out.  Trust me on this one!!

Alien - Thierry Mugler

Every season, it is always good to switch up your perfume.  Thanks to Glamour Magazine, I have a new scent for Fall / Winter.  It is Alien by Thierry Mugler and it is FABULOUS!  What I love about this scent is that it is "mysterious" and it lasts.  My routine is to add it to my moisturizer after I get out of the shower.  That way, it blends into the skin and stays with you.  Good stuff!  Thanks Glamour!!

Glambassador Challenge: Crystal Light Mocktails

Glamour Magazine sent me this really cool drink from Crystal Light called Mocktails.   It essentially has the flavor of your favorite alcoholic beverage without the calories or effects of alcohol.  They sent me the Appletini flavor and I swear it tastes just like an Appletini.   It is very easy to make.  Just empty contents of package into a 2qt container and fill with 8 cups of cold water, stir and serve.  Perfect for a girls night in or out.  I suggest you serve them in your cutest cocktail glasses.  I definitely did!!

Ok, let me finish my Crystal Light Mocktails and head out for the night.

BEAUTY TIP: No more oil

I have to share this beauty tip for my ladies with oily skin.  I have tried every product that guarantees a "matte finish" or "keeps you oil free for hours."  This product is not only affordable but it works.  Its Milk of Magnesia.  Yep, thats right.  Good ol' Milk of Magnesia.  All you need to do is head to your local drugstore or Target, and pick up the plain Milk of Magnesia.  Not flavored.
Apply to clean and moisturized skin (after your skin care routine).  You can apply via cotton balls or a basic $1 Elf make up brush.  Apply evenly and let it set.  You will probably see a white residue which is good.  It means that it is soaking up the oil.  Then apply your foundation or powder.

I have recommended this to my closest friends and they LOVE it.  For my beauties who do not wear make up and still want to control oil, I would suggest maybe doing a light application so that the white paste like film does not show.  Let me know how it goes.

Here's to a shine free face.  Thank you Milk of Magnesia!!!

Who is the Man Behind the Text?

Okay single ladies.....have you ever met a guy, exchanged numbers and then looked forward to receiving his phone call but instead received a text?  One text is fine, but the brotha proceeds to have a full blown conversation with you via text.  At this point he becomes your "text boo."  Oh, and kudos to you if you finally make it out on a date with him via a text invite.  LOL  So, what's a girl to do if she is in this situation?  How many texts do I have to go thru before I get asked out?  Does he even know how to talk?

Technology has hindered our communication skills with one another and it is very unfortunate for the daters out here.  Sure, texting is good for a quick check in or a "How's your day?" or "Running late, be there in 5."  Healthy relationships need to good ol' fashion conversation.   So, a suggestion for you ladies actually comes from one of my Twitter followers who suggested that the woman (after a few texts from the guy) simply pick up the phone and CALL HIM!  I tried this a few weeks ago and the guy was pleasantly surprised.  I explained that I didn't want to have a full text convo and that talking would be good.  He explained that he didn't know if I was busy or not, blah, blah, blah.   If you break the ice and make that initial call, but he does not return the favor with a phone call back, he may not be interested or may not be the one you want to deal with.

Men, we WANT you to pick up the phone and call us.  If we are busy, we wont answer.  Simple as that.  Stop hiding behind your text messages when you first meet a woman.  Remember.  If we gave you our number, we want to hear from you.

The Pinky Promise / No Randoms Movement!

I am soooooo excited about this new movement I have joined.  Its called the Pinky Promise / No Randoms Movement and I have been selected to be a rep for Atlanta.  Now what does this all mean??  Let me explain.  There is a young woman who I admire very much.  I was going through a "breakup" from someone I really liked.  I turned to twitter (yeah I know that sounds crazy) for my inspiration to get over him.  Well, I found @Heatherllove on twitter and her tweets were speaking to me!!  She described what a random was.  The guy that "broke up" with me, me that description.  I kept following her for motivation and encouragement.  This young lady is phenomenal.   Because of her, I have gotten closer to God and I understand and recognize a random.  Ladies and Gentlemen, you do not need a random in your life.  Please read this excerpt below for a definition:

If you're new to what  "RANDOM" is-- let's define it, A Random is defined as a person you KNOW you'll never marry but you date them to fill a void because you're lonely or bored. A random is that ex boyfriend that is still trying to EMOTIONALLY connect with you and you're married. A random is a co-worker that is switching' all hard in your face trying to get your attention. A random is a unhealthy relationship. This could also go for friendships as well. It's that person you KNOW is messy & gossips about everyone..but you still hang around them.  - Heather Lindsey

Now that you know what a random is, I challenge you to recognize the randoms in your life and REMOVE THEM!  As a Pinky Promise Rep, it is up to me to spread this and encourage others.  Please continue to follow my blog for more info.
